Fishmongers in budalangi have decried high taxes imposed on them by fisheries
department, saying it is draining them down and loosing out business.
Speaking at Marenga beach in budalangi constituency during an exercise to issue out life-saving jacket to fishermen, they called on the national and county government to relook into the issue of taxes imposed on fishermen.
Busie women representative Catherine Omanyo opposed the exorbitant taxes being impossed on fishermen and called for amicable solution to make fishing venture beneficial to both fishmongers and the government.
